Bookish Confessions is a feature over on Such a Novel Idea.
My bookish confession actually just sucks for my "income" (whatever you call allowance for a 15 year old). You see, I'm a book collector. And, I know, who isn't? But most book bloggers are a tad bit older, and actually have money to collect books. I, on the other hand, have to mow the lawn every two weeks to get a hardback. Unfortunately, this means money for clothes and makeup goes out the window. Who makes those things a priority over bestsellers?
Instead of day dreaming about the perfect mascara from Sephora, or the perfect maxi dress, I dream about that new limited edition box set of Harry Potter. Instead of planning my first day of school outfit, I plan what book I'm going to walk into high school for the first time with. My train of thought basically is,
"What novel makes me look the most intelligent?"
"What novel makes me look the most intelligent?"
And, oh my goodness, thank the lord for thrift stores! Am I right? I went to one in Michigan and got the WHOLE Luxe series, in great condition, for only 3 freaking dollars! It was like heaven... nothing else can compare to a good bargain.
I pity the people who only have Barnes and Noble near by, because Booksamillion has the best bargain book sales. My go-to website? Book Outlet. *cries for joy*
But what about you? Do you have any bookish confessions? How do you buy the cheapest possible books?
